***Survey on children’s services at FriarageHospital

***This is a message from North Yorkshire Police.

Bogus officials are targeting elderly vulnerable females in their homes in the Northallerton area. The M.O being that they are proporting to be a water board official, calling to check water pressures and then frequenting different rooms within in the property. The elderly are asked to please lock and secure doors and windows when in their property alone.

***Bug Life is an organisation set up to address the
massive decline in insect life and the subsequent effect on plant and bird life. This is linked to the loss of wild flowers and wildflower meadows. To overcome this problem there is a need to create areas where
the number of flowers can be enriched. North Yorkshire is a pilot area for this project and it is hoped to create a network of wild flower areas across the county. The group works with farmers, Parish Councils, villages and individuals and can provide advice on the management of such areas. A leaflet was provided with further details.
